Favourites Friday: Summer has come and passed ... The innocent can never last.

Happy Friday all! The weekend is almost here, but before I sign off until Monday, I'm back with my third regularly scheduled blog post of the week; Favourites Friday - a round up of what I've been doing with my family, and what TV shows, books, movies I've been enjoying recently.

Favourites Fridays: Late Again

I'm a bit behind on my Favourites Friday again; I have a good excuse though. Friday my PC needed a system restore preformed, and Saturday I was out most of the day with Mum and the boys.

So better late than never, eh?

Thanks to all those who commented on last Friday's post, about The Wardstone Chronicels book Alice. Additional thanks to those who commented on my recent Working Wednesdays Post. Much appreciated.

Favourites Friday: The Cephalopod Coffeehouse Edition

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is almost here - woohoo! Hope y'all have an excellent time!

Thanks for the comments on my latest Working Wednesday entry; the congrats on the new position and the feedback on my work in progress snippet were greatly appreciated.

It's back to Favourites Friday today, but this week is a little different. Instead of talking about all the things I've enjoyed this week, I'm focusing on one book in particular I've enjoyed this month, as part of The Armchair Squid's Cephalopod Coffeehouse

So, what is the Cephalopod Coffeehouse all about? Well, from the mouth of the Armchair Squid themselves, here is the description:

Greetings to all!  I hope you'll join us for the next installment of the Cephalopod Coffeehouse, an online gathering of bloggers who love books.  The next meeting is set for Friday, June 28th.  If you're interested, please sign on to the link list at the end of this post.

The idea is simple: on the last Friday of each month, post about the best book you've finished over the past month while visiting other bloggers doing the same.  In this way, we'll all have the opportunity to share our thoughts with other enthusiastic readers.  Please join us [link].

"A lot of dark stuff happened when I was young that I‘ve never even told to my dearest friend, Tom Ward. Dark and scary things I hoped I had left behind for ever . . ."
Over the years, Alice has fought evil side by side with the Spook and his apprentice, Thomas Ward. But now Alice is alone – in the realm of the dark. And the creatures she has helped to banish there, now have the chance to take their revenge.
Alice must seek the final weapon needed to destroy the Fiend for good. If she fails, the world will fall into despair and darkness. If she succeeds, it means facing her own death at the hands of her dearest friend. But can she prevent the darkness from taking her over completely . . . ?
The penultimate installment of the Wardstone Chronicles follows Alice, Thomas Ward’s loyal companion, to the most terrifying place of all.

Favourites Friday: A little Late!

I'm doing terribly with my blog schedule, aren't I? I meant to get this up on Friday, but I've been pretty busy with work. Better late than never though, eh?

Thanks to everyone who dropped in and commented on Wednesday's entry,  where I updated on my working week.

I'm continuing with my new posting schedule, this time with Favourites Friday, where I talk about what I've been doing with my family, and what TV shows, books, movies I've been enjoying.

Favourites Friday: Saying goodbye to one favourite, but welcoming back another.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Cut for a lot of text, and image heavy.

Bowing Out

As you may have noticed, it's half-nine PM (in the UK) and I still haven't posted entries for M and N on either of my blogs. To put it simply, I have A-Z writer's block.

While I am enjoying the A-Z and have enjoyed sharing some of my loves with you, at the same time it's hard. I'm running into letters that aren't really sparking my imagination and putting off writing them in favor of other things. I've elaborated more about my reasons why on my writing blog.

I just quickly wanted to say THANK YOU. Thank you to every awesome person who's read and commented on entries A-L. I'm glad you've enjoyed finding out about some of the things I enjoy. There are still things I want to share with you, but at a slower pace, so I can talk about them properly, and still give myself time for all the other things I need and want to do.

I'll still be visiting your blogs, and commenting on all your awesome entries, and I'll return to (semi) regular update about life and such.
